HANNAH's HOpe

Prayer community for foster and adoptive families
Hannah's Hope is the signature wrap-around service of Atlanta-Based Ignite Hope, an organization that strongly believes in the efficacy and power of prayer. This ministry impacts the world by creating prayerful, supportive, and encouraging community around foster and adoptive families. It is a uniquely intimate ministry that surrounds a single-family or organization with Strategic Prayer.
  • Why was Hannah's Hope Created? Who is Hannah?
    Hannah's Hope was conceived out of our own felt need for spiritual support, strategic prayer and community when our family walked out our personal adoption story in many different ways. Based on the Old Testament example of Hannah who so longed for a child that she went alone to the temple to "pour out her heart" to God about her desire for children. 1 Samuel 1:27- "I prayed for this child, and the Lord granted me what I asked of him."
  • Why is Prayer so Important?
    Ignite Hope views prayer as a conversation between God and his Children. The more we pray - the better we are able to ascertain God’s will in our own life. As we intercede for others, we are able to connect deeply in caring for others by praying specifically over God’s children in a deep and impactful way. Praying for foster and adoptive parents and the kids they care for is one of the MOST important ways to help them navigate through life’s challenges. Prayer positions us in the place of victory at all times. Prayer aids discernment. The more we begin to comprehend the Father’s heart toward us, the more we are able to connect his good, and sovereign will for all of us. Jeremiah 29:11 is a wonderful verse to claim over families and children in hard places. God invites us make great things happen through our prayers, because we have been given the authority to do so. Luke 10: 19 "I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you." 1 John 4:4: "You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world."
  • Why Do Foster and Adoptive Parents/Kids need our prayers?
    It takes a kind and caring heart to bring children who are not biologically yours into your home. The enemy is never happy with obedient people; hence he wages war against them in every way possible. Additionally, is not unusual for children and parents to need a transistion, as all parties involved persevere and adapt to a new normal after placement. Praying specifically for these families is a strategic way of supporting them and letting them know that we care. Adoptive and foster parents face many challenges. The enemys plan is to make families give up on this journey. However, through our prayer teams, advocacy, resources and encouragement, Hannah’s Hope navigates families through the difficult journy inherent in orphan care.
  • What is a Prayer Warrior?
    Ignite Hope Prayer Warrior's are commited to walking alongside families for a season as they stand in the gap for todays Orphan. Prayer Warriors will connect via video chats, texts, emails or even in person to offer strategic prayer, support and encouragement. All prayer warrior's sign a statement of faith and abide by our Hannah's Hope covenant of confidentiality and Biblical support. • How Long is a Prayer Warrior term?
    Prayer Warrior's will typically serve for a "season" which is about 9-18 months for families and children transistioning together.
  • How can I become a Prayer Warrior?

  • We Are Child-Focused.
    The Hannah's Hope Program works towards ensuring that children in foster care, youth moving out of the foster system and children placed for adoption live their best life, by finding the ability and possibility of achieving their purposes in life. We believe that goal is achieved through clear encouragement, attachment, redirection, value and love found only within a family unit. We aim to see the Modern Orphan transition into a joy-filled, contributing and healthy life; We do this through strategic prayer, being present in the hard, and giving encouragement and resources, we believe that the Modern Orphan and the family unit that loves them can thrive. "Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it" (Prov. 22:6). 3 "Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. 4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth" (Psalm 127:3-4).

“No man is greater than his prayer life...

We have many organizers, but few agonizers

many players and payers, few

pray-ers;

 many singers, few clingers;

lots of pastors, few wrestlers;

many fears, few tears;

 much fashion, little passion;

 many interferers, few intercessors

many writers, but few fighters.
